If you’re short on time and running a business, you’re not alone. The good news is that time efficient workouts for busy entrepreneurs do exist, and they can completely change your energy, focus, and mindset.

One of the best workouts I’ve found is simple: running.
Not training for hours. Just 30 minutes. That’s it.

If you have a safe place to run, you can knock out a workout and get clear on your thoughts at the same time. For me, it’s where my brain resets. No distractions, no screens. Just movement and thinking. Some days I mix in sprints or hills. Other days it’s just steady running and deep breathing. Either way, I always walk away better than when I started.

Other Time Efficient Options I Use

I also swim and bike since I train for triathlons. But to be honest, those aren’t always as flexible.

  • Swimming takes access to a lap pool, and it’s hard to use that time to think since you’re counting strokes and staying focused on breathing.

  • Biking is great, but only during daylight hours. You have to be fully aware of your surroundings and can’t just zone out like you can on a quiet run.

The gym is another good option. But between getting ready, driving there, working out, and getting back, it adds up.
Home gyms sound great too, and I support them. But I’ll be honest—at home, there are too many distractions. Chores, emails, people needing something. It’s easy to get pulled in ten different directions.

Find What Works for You

Everyone’s different. What works for me might not be your thing. But the key is to pick a workout that fits into your life. The most time efficient workouts for busy entrepreneurs are the ones you’ll actually do.
